🐐 Looking Ahead to 2026: Sunshine, Baby Goats & Good Vibes 🐐

Updated: Nov 18, 2025

All of our 2025 babies have made their way to happy new homes, and the barn sure feels quiet without them! It’s always a mix of emotions — we miss their little bleats, but knowing they’re bringing joy to their new families makes all the hard work worthwhile.

Now we’re already planning ahead for next year! Our 2026 breeding plan is set with 10 does to be bred in December, and due dates running from late April through late May. That means when everyone comes for Baby Goat Snuggles, we’ll finally be past the cold and mud that always seem to show up in early spring. The weather should be warmer, drier, and perfect for visitors.

We’ve been working hard on the farm this fall — regrading and improving drainage, expanding covered space in the pasture, and making big changes to parking and visitor flow. Next year’s events will be calmer, more organized, and a lot more comfortable for both goats and guests.

We’ll be running Baby Goat Snuggles from mid-May through June, and Baby Goat Yoga every other week from June through September. We can’t wait to share another fun, relaxing season on the farm!

We’ve also decided not to host an Easter event next year. While it’s been so well-loved (over 500 people attended across three days last spring!), the weather just hasn’t been kind — two years in a row of rain, snow, and mud made it more stressful than joyful for everyone, goats included.

And since we’re being open — every year right before kidding season, we get a few unpleasant messages from people who think breeding or raising our goats is somehow harmful to them. It’s never easy to read, especially because the care of our animals is at the very heart of everything we do here. We plan every breeding thoughtfully — considering the age, health, and recovery of each doe — and we invest an incredible amount of time, money, and energy into making sure our animals live healthy, happy, enriched lives. Breeding, kidding, and raising babies is a natural, healthy part of life for our goats, and something we do with deep respect and care.

We’re proud of our program, our animals, and the community that supports us. Thank you for being part of this journey and for loving our goats like we do. We can’t wait to welcome you back next spring for sunshine, snuggles, and baby goat joy. ❤️🐐
